About Us

With more than 30 years as an Acupuncturist behind her, Paddy has an enormous wealth of experience to call on. After gaining her initial acupuncture qualification from the Acupuncture College of Australia, Paddy went on and trained as a Childbirth Educator. Her practice in Sydney focussed primarily on the treatment of women though pregnancy and childbirth.

After completing a Masters degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, Paddy returned to her hometown of Nelson in New Zealand. She set up Acupuncture Richmond in  2008. Whilst continuing to work with women through pregnancy and childbirth is still a large part of Paddy’s practice, running such a specialised clinic is not so feasible in a small centre like Richmond. Paddy now runs a much more general practice and sees everyone from young children through to the very elderly.

Having trained in both acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine, Paddy uses a combination of techniques depending on the condition and the person being treated. Cupping and moxibustion as well as dietary and/or lifestyle advice may also be included in each treatment.

In 2018 Paddy returned to studying and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.

Paddy is registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand(#1062) in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
