Although Paddy is no longer doing any ACC work, she is happy to recommend you to another of her local colleagues who will be able to assist you in recovering from any ACC covered injury.

Covid-19

24/1/24

Covid has not disappeared. Now is not the time to be complacent. We still need to be aware that Covid is present in New Zealand, including in our local community.

Precautions still need to be taken to minimise any risk of the transmission of the virus.

Please don't attend if you have any respiratory symptoms such as sore throat, runny nose, coughing or sneezing. If you do have any of these symptoms then I cannot have you in the clinic and recommend that you have a Covid-19 test as soon as possible.

Please don't come early to your appointment so that we don't have several people at once in the waiting area. I shall do all I can to ensure that appointments run to time and the person ahead of you has left before you arrive.

I shall keep my distance from you as much as possible and minimise the time we spend together in the treatment room. Together we can ensure that any possibility of passing on infection is kept to an absolute minimum.

Although it is no longer a Ministry of Health requirement, I am happy to wear a mask if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Stay safe everyone, look after yourselves and each other. We have all learned how to keep ourselves safe so let's keep up the practices:

Cough or sneeze into your elbow. Immediately bin your tissues if you have needed to blow your nose. It is still important to wash your hands frequently - after going to the toilet, before handling food, after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. Soap and water is best but hand sanitiser is also ok.
Test for Covid if you learn you may have been exposed.

Keep up to date with your vaccine boosters - to protect yourself but also to help protect everyone else.

Continue to wear a mask in situations where there are lots of people, particularly at indoor venues or if you are unable to maintain a safe distance or if it makes you feel safer.

Eat well and eat regular meals. Get regular fresh air and exercise. Soak up that wonderful Nelson sunshine at every opportunity.Make sure you get plenty of sleep and don't push yourself to the limit.

Stay informed - the best place to get your information is the Ministry of Health website and their daily updates - not social media.
